Customer Journey OverviewThe Cart Funnel follows a seamless process to convert visitors into paying customers and granting them access to their purchased course or membership. Here’s the journey:
Landing Page (Opt-in) → Captures lead details
Payment Page → Customer purchases the product
Thank You Page → Confirms the purchase
Course/Membership Access Setup → Ensures content is ready
Automation: Triggers & Actions → Grants access and sends a welcome email
Select a Pre-Designed Funnel Template (or create from scratch)
Customize Branding – Update logo, colors, and fonts
Set Up Sections – Ensure clear flow (Opt-in > Payment > Thank You Page)
Mobile Optimization – Check responsiveness across devices
(This is where customers make a purchase)
Add Your Product(s) to the Payment Page
Go to Products > Add Product
Set Price & Currency
Add Product Description & Image
Select One-Time Payment or Recurring
Set Up an Order Bump
Order bump = Extra offer at checkout
Enable it under Payment Page Settings
Enable One-Click Upsell (Post-Purchase Offer)
After checkout, direct buyers to an Upsell Page
Example: Upgrade to VIP Coaching for $97
Test the Payment Integration
Ensure Stripe is connected
(Customers land here after a successful purchase)
Show Purchase Confirmation
“Thank You for Your Purchase!”
Display Order Summary
Inform them to check their email for confirmation
Add Order Confirmation Section
PART 2: Setting Up Membership/Course Area

Course Name & Structure

Upload & Organize the Course in fck
Go to Sites > Memberships > Create New Course
Upload Videos & PDFs into each lesson
Enable Drip Content (if needed)
(Make the course available for purchase and grant access after payment.)
Go to Memberships > Offers
Click “Create New Offer”
Name your Offer (Example: “Complete Digital Marketing Course”)
Assign the Course(s) to the Offer
Set Pricing (One-time payment, Subscription, or Free)
Test the Offer Purchase Flow
Complete a Test Purchase to ensure:
Payment processes successfully
Course access is granted
Confirmation email is sent
Once a purchase is made, the system should:
Send a confirmation email
Grant access to the course/membership
Trigger:
“Order Form Submitted” event in fck
Trigger fires when a product is purchased
Action:
Grant Course/Membership Access
Send Welcome Email with Login Details
Steps to Set Up in GoHighLevel:
Go to Automations > Create New Automation
Set Trigger: "Customer Purchases a Product"
Add Action: "Grant Course Access"
Select the Course/Membership they bought
Add Action: Send Email Confirmation
Customize the welcome email (see previous section)
Save & Activate the Automation
Test the Funnel as a Customer
Go through Landing Page > Payment > Thank You Page
Complete a Test Purchase
Ensure you receive the confirmation email
Check if membership/course access is granted
Landing Page is optimized (clear CTA, opt-in form)
Payment Page is set up (products, order bump, upsells)
Thank You Page confirms purchase (and provides next steps)
Membership Area is ready (videos, PDFs, modules uploaded)
Course Offer is published & linked to payment page
Automation grants course access (after successful payment)
Welcome Email is customized (login details & support info)
Test purchase was successful (emails, access, and payments work)
